• There is no "mercy rule". This is real baseball, you're not in Little League anymore.
• 13 year olds cannot wear metal spikes in Prep or as a callup to Majors.
• There is no bat restriction rule (2+1/4", 2+5/8", and 2+3/4" metal or wood or any differential is OK)
• The MIAA (NCAA) slide rule does NOT apply.  Slide or avoid, it's that simple.  Please see the rules.
• Teams get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.  Standings are kept by points.
• No new inning starts after 2.5 hours.
• Please report all ejections to the league President.
• Managers/Coaches ejected are not eligible to participate in the next game.
• The 495 League may suspend a player ejected for an additional game
• No pitcher may throw more than 7 innings total in any two consecutive games
• A pitcher once removed from the mound may not pitch again in the game
• A Majors team can call up a 13yo Prep player if they think they will have 10 or less
• A Majors team CANNOT call up a 14yo or 15 yo player from another Majors team
• A Prep team can call up a 13yo player from another prep team if they think they will have 10 or less players

495 League Pitching Rules

• A player cannot pitch more than 7 innings in 2 consecutive games.  The length of time between the 2 consecutive games does not matter.
• One pitch thrown in an inning counts as an inning pitched
• Example 1: In a game, a player pitches 5 innings.  In the next game, that player can pitch only 2
• Example 2: In a game, a player pitches 7 innings.  In the next game, that player cannot pitch at all.
• Example 3: In a game, a player does not pitch at all.  In the next game he is eligible to pitch 7 innings.
• Example 4. In a game, a player pitches 3 innings.  That player misses the team's next game.  When the player shows up for the team's next game on the schedule, he is eligible to pitch 7 innings.
• Example 5. In a game, a player pitches 4 innings.  The team's next game is rained out.  When the team plays their next game on the schedule, the player is eligible to pitch 3 innings.
• A team discovered violating the rule will be penalized with a forfeit.
